How am I feeling? I'm glad you asked. I am feeling pretty good actually. It really has been a satisfying week and here is why. The launch of Library Chat has been very successful I think. With 150 listens in a week and lots of positive comments and interest, I am very pleased I made the decision to launch this podcast. The process of recording the conversations is like refuelling the tank for me. They have given me a fresh energy, insights and reminded me just show many clever people I actually know. To talk with them is a blessing. I have a great person who has agreed to contribute to the podcast in the last few days and I will be recording next week. More details on that soon....
Secondly, fighting tiredness on Monday night, I sat down and wrote a blog post about the death of Aaron Swartz, thinking about how he had made such an impact on the world in such a short time. What he stood for and tried to achieve is something that we should not forget and should honour. I am so pleased I did this, not only for the food it gave to my soul, but for the lovely feedback I have had from many individuals about the post.
Lastly, I have had several great chats with people I work with this week. I won't go into details, but coming back to work, chatting with these individuals, and getting a sense of them and what the hope to do this year and the possibilities for us as a library service has meant I have felt invigorated. Thank you to those who have spent time with me this week.
So there you have it. I lot of positives!!!
